Born in Phoenix Arizona, I spent the late 80's and early 90's fishing every chance I could get. From crystal clear lakes to city park ponds I was obsessed! At a very young age I found a talent for making my own lures. At age 12 I began making large swimbaits for my neighbor who striper fished the Colorado river. In 1996 I moved to Virginia and brought the swimbait ideology with me. Over the years I continued making handmade lures for myself and close friends. In 2011 I started PhoneyFrogsUSA making a name and an impact in the fishing industry. Starting out making swimbaits its only natural that I would continue that passion on the East coast. In 2012 I released the "Phoney Shad" glidebait, which quickly climbed the ranks as one of the best shad glides on the market. The shad has since been responsible for 100's of personal best catches from all over the world! An article published by a local woods and waters magazine claimed the shad had caught more double digit bass from two public bodies of water in 2 years than had been weighed in the past 40 years combined!! I have now included my wife and two children in the family business who help me tremendously with the overwelming demand for my lures.
